AI Assistance Notice

Version 1.11 — effective 28 October 2026

Release: legal-public-1.11-2026-10-28 · Version: public-1.11-2026-10-28 · Effective date: 2026-10-28

Version 1.11 — effective 28 October 2026

In brief

IMORAY uses AI to transcribe, organise and rephrase user-supplied information into editable text. AI can be wrong. A qualified user must review and correct every output before use.

How AI features are used

  • Dictation: converts audio into text in the selected clinical language. The objective is faithful transcription without adding content. If spoken language conflicts with settings, the application asks the user to change clinical language.
  • Report and impressions: structures user content in the selected template and displays editable text. Impressions must be checked against the report body.
  • Request changes: sends the current report and impressions together with the user's instruction. Successive revisions operate on the already revised version, not the original report.
  • Comparative dictation and OCR: use an anonymised previous report or text extracted from an anonymised image. OCR does not interpret a diagnostic image.
  • Review: an AI editorial check of the text, run only at the user's request, on the supplied report and impressions. It may flag clear contradictions (for example in laterality, negation, number or measurement, including between the report and the impressions), factual mismatches, nonsensical or ambiguous wording and obvious language or terminology errors; for a language error it may propose a minimal correction. It does not assess radiologic completeness, request descriptors or other clinical information, interpret images, act as a second reader or replace image review. Its observations may be wrong or incomplete and do not change the report; any correction is made by the user. The absence of observations does not confirm that the report is correct or complete.
  • Pathology Summary and Xira: provide general educational information and may display sources. They do not make patient-specific recommendations.
  • Templates and personal style: create or structure editable materials. Style documents must be anonymised and are used for writing preferences, not as a source of clinical facts.

What AI does not do

IMORAY does not analyse DICOM images, detect lesions, autonomously establish diagnosis, treatment, urgency or management, or finalise or transmit a report. A visual highlight indicates a textual association, not an image finding.

The Check panel (no AI)

The “Check” panel compares the generated report with the dictation and, when there is one, with the base template. The comparison runs locally, in the browser, without an AI model. The panel shows template wording that no longer appears in the report and dictated values (numbers, dates, codes such as L4) that it cannot find anywhere in the report or the impressions; equivalent units (3.2 cm = 32 mm) are recognised. The comparison has limits: a value counts as found if the same number appears anywhere in the text, even with another unit or in another context, and values written in words and minor wording changes are not checked. Differences shown may be intentional. The panel does not assess clinical relevance, interpret images or establish whether the report is correct or complete.

The panel does not change the report on its own. “Put back” reinserts the selected wording where it stood in the template, only on click, as a manual edit. Adding a value via “Request changes” opens a pre-filled instruction that you can edit; only sending it starts the AI feature “Request changes”. In the Essential mode, the “To check” line shows, as a reminder, how often right, left and bilateral appear in the dictation and how many values it contains, and lists dictated values not found in the report. Check the whole report before use, including when the panel shows no differences.

Data and provider

The service uses Google Gemini models configured server-side. The exact model may change for quality, speed, availability, cost or compliance without changing the feature boundary. Only content necessary for the chosen request and minimal technical metadata are sent. Provider credentials are not exposed in the browser.

For paid Gemini services, Google states that inputs and outputs are not used to improve its products. Limited security and abuse-prevention retention may apply under the relevant service. Google Search Grounding retains the prompt, context and result for 30 days at the provider. Details are in Privacy and the Subprocessor List.

Do not provide direct patient identifiers. Use of an AI provider remains subject to service availability and applicable terms; a feature may be disabled if it cannot be operated within its stated boundary.

Human oversight

Before use, the professional must:

  • compare transcription and report with dictation, images and source data;
  • check negation, uncertainty, anatomy, laterality, numbers and units;
  • verify that a revision did not unintentionally change another section;
  • open and assess displayed sources;
  • correct or reject the output and finalise it in an authorised professional system.

Automated decisions

IMORAY does not make decisions with legal or medical effects on a patient and does not profile users for advertising. The user decides whether to use, edit, save or reject output.

Reporting an issue

Report a product issue to support@imoray.app and a security incident to security@imoray.app. Do not include patient data or full clinical text in email.
